Thevo Wool Sculptor

The Process

The creation of a piece at Thevo is an intersection of absolute stillness and masterful craftsmanship. Without haste or machinery, each wool sculpture comes to life through three deliberate phases:

Phase I: Listening & Stillness

After understanding the client's story, Thevo centers his mind by playing the bamboo flute. The sound acts as a purifying ritual, grounding his breath and transforming memories into pure energy before the sculpting begins.

Phase II: Structural Foundation

Based on precise anatomical proportions, a solid inner armature is built. Premium Merino wool fibers are then meticulously interwoven through tens of thousands of hand-felted needle pricks. This requires absolute patience for the wool to become dense and resilient.

Phase III: Breathing Life

This is the awakening of the sculpture’s soul. The finest details, from the handcrafted glass eyes to the coat’s gradient and unique spirit, are meticulously refined embedding life and warmth into the wool so that memories endure vividly.
